SWAMA Martial Arts is the flagship Muay Thai school in Imperial Beach, California — the original location of Master Victor Beltran's lineage, and the 40-year home of his teaching. Located on Palm Avenue near the Imperial Beach pier and the Silver Strand, the school serves the unique mix of families that make up South San Diego's southernmost beach community: surf families, multi-generation locals, Coronado and South Bay residents, and the active-duty and retired military families connected to NOLF Imperial Beach and Naval Base Coronado.
The Imperial Beach location is where SWAMA's signature teaching style was built — authentic Muay Thai grounded in 40 years of practical training, taught with the patience that long-term mastery produces. Classes are structured for kids as young as 4, teens, adults at every skill level from first-day beginners to experienced strikers, and adults specifically looking for fitness, stress relief, and practical self-defense without the intimidation of a competition fight gym.
